These pictures were taken the first weekend in April 2001 at the
Oregon Tulip festival. This is the start of the blooming season so
all of the blooms were not in full swing yet and roughly two thirds of
the fields were green. Still, there was plenty of color and variety to
make for an interesting and fun trip. The tulip festival is held
about six miles east of Woodburn, which is about 40 miles south of
Portland. It will be open through April 22nd.
